Healthy Relationships.
Strong Foundations.
Better Organizations.
Workplace health is of utmost importance to organizational effectiveness. When dysfunction creeps in and relationships break down, performance, productivity, trust, and morale are quickly affected. This, in turn, increases the risk of entrenched conflict, complaints, and formal investigations.
Through our consulting arm, Wilbrod House Consulting, we offer services and solutions that are separate from the legal services provided by Chohan Law. These include workplace assessments, conflict resolution and mediations, and workplace restorations. Our approaches and methodologies are grounded in cultural humility and trauma-informed principles, with deep respect and utmost care.
Our Solutions
Each service is tailored to your unique context
Workplace Assessments
High turnover, absenteeism, anonymous complaints, low productivity, and even gossip and rumours are warning signs that call for proactive intervention, not to look the other way.
Identifying and addressing issues before a workplace tips over into a full-blown crisis is crucial. This is not just about managing legal and financial liabilities. It is about protecting employee well-being, building stronger teams, and ensuring business continuity. It is also about maintaining the trust and goodwill of the people, communities, and partners that rely on your organization to deliver on its promises.
Our workplace assessments go beyond anonymous surveys. We select and customize our methodologies to assess the prevailing workplace culture and internal dynamics, identify the root causes of persistent conflict and dysfunction, and uncover issues that may be brewing under the surface. We then recommend strategies and solutions based on what we have learned so that employers can take effective action to get things back on track.
Conflict Resolution & Mediation
Lively debates and respectful disagreements are hallmarks of a healthy, functional organization. However, when disagreements escalate and positions begin to harden, a neutral third party can help shift the dynamic before conflict becomes entrenched.
Wilbrod House Consulting designs and delivers customized conflict resolution and mediation processes, ranging from facilitated conversations that build understanding between parties to more structured approaches that result in mediated agreements.
Every process begins with an intake phase to understand each party’s needs, interests and goals, and assess their readiness to work in good faith to resolve the issues at hand. We also support parties to focus on shared interests and goals, set realistic expectations, and build capacity to engage in dialogue in respectful and more effective ways. In addition, once an agreement is in place, we check in with all parties to help them sustain their commitment to new and better ways of working together.
Workplace Restorations
In certain contexts, a multifaceted process and sustained support is necessary to bring a workplace to a place of stability and healthy functioning. These processes — commonly referred to as “workplace restorations” — are customized to the unique context of each workplace. They often involve interventions that are targeted to rebuilding trust and repairing and strengthening workplace relationships, while also establishing the structures, systems, and leadership capacity necessary to improve organizational health and prevent future dysfunction.
There is growing recognition that workplace restoration is often the missing piece of the puzzle for teams and organizations experiencing serious dysfunction for which it might seem there is no solution. This is true in contexts involving:
changes in leadership
mass layoffs
formal investigations into allegations of discrimination and harassment
workplace violence and traumatic events impacting whole teams or organizations
longstanding conflict, especially if it involves multiple parties or “camps”
toxic workplace cultures
Wilbrod House Consulting offers workplace restoration services that are grounded in the expertise, experience, and extensive training of its Founder & Principal Consultant, Monica Chohan. We focus on:
designing and facilitating participatory group processes customized to the unique needs of a given team or workplace
deploying a broad range of conflict resolution and mediation philosophies, frameworks, and methodologies, including Peacemaking Circles
using trauma-informed approaches to foster workplace psychological and psychosocial safety
providing leadership training and capacity-building for workplace leaders and boards
